Well it was another great day with lots of great Corvette Drivers.

Welcome to our newest drivers: Nick and Dale
Good to see Steve come out for first time this year and run MODIFIED with me.

The only bad thing that I know of that happened today was that I got a CHP ticket. I made it all the way to the track and actually got pulled over in the WSIR driveway I made a safe pass of around 6 slow cars about a mile from the track. I didn't realize the speed limit was less than 92 MPH

I got great video of Mike, Ed, some of Jerry parking his car and Joel demonstrating how not to do a video shoot. Just bustin on ya Joel. Wouldn't have made much difference as my car dropped out of Competition mode and dash lights for TC and ABS came on as well as every DIC message you can imagine. So I finally had to get off. Fortunately, no permanent damage as everything was fine next session.

Okay, I know lots of guys have cameras now including Tim and Kevin who got CRV packages ............. so lets post them up

Very cool day today, even though it was 102...

Sorry about session 3 Howie, the heat got to me. We'll live to drive another day, and get some cool video.

I drove in from LA this morning after taking care of some business yeaterday, got in 3 good sessions, then drove 150 miles home back up the mountain.

Ryne and I shot some decent video that I'll be working on...

Thanks for a great day Howie et all

First time at WSIR an amazing track had a blast. Totally intimidating at first but so fun. Definitely need more time on it as turn 8 was still scaring the crap out of me.

There where some really great cars at this event.

Can't wait to go again.

Now how about some pics!

I thought we agreed on I would do 2 laps then let the faster driver Ed pass me and you get video of him. I miss understood and screwed up the whole system.

Jerry

Next time we will sit down in the shade, draw a picture and explain it so a 3 year old can understand what to do.

I'll get that video up tomorrow

Had a great time today... I thought I couldn't hang in red group with the Camaro, but it proved quite capable, ran a best of a 1:34.4 which is amazing in that heat. Yeah Joel got great video can't wait to see it.... Nice seeing you guys, I own another c6z so you'll see me out there soon in a vette once I piece her back together...

Ryne

Great driving, less than half a second slower than me in your mini van. Must be nice to be so young, do you even have hair on your ***** yet

Great to see you will be back with a Vette. Needless to say I'm sure you will be in Ultimite Class

I will put up the abortion video shoots of sessions 3 and 4 later today.

Hey guys, this is Nick. It was my first event and I had a blast. Big thanks to Mike for giving me great instruction and helping me feel right at home on the track. My best time of the day was 1:43.725.
Any idea what good time is for a stock C6 on run flats?

A :43 is excellent for a first-timer. In fact, knowing your tires, I would've been satisfied with even high forties. Thanks for the good word and let me know if you have any questions.

Nick, welcome to the group, was nice to meet you. That is a great time in spite of having Mike as your coach...

Most of you remember my OFF at BRP when it was raining. I have pulled more than 10lbs of that hardened mud from my under carriage for weeks after that event.

Today when changing back to street pads I felt a huge chunk stuck in the drivers rocker panel area. I used a screw driver and channel locks to chop it up so I could get it out in pieces.

Moral: DO NOT GO OFF IN THE MUD !!!!

My breaks pedal got real squishy and went to the floor going 118 into turn 8 on my last run.

After they cooled down they are working fine. Do I need to flush the brake fluid still?

Session 3 video shoot with Joel.

My car was acting weird in the corners and finally my TC and ABS lights came on and my console button to switch in and out of COMP mode became inoperable so I finally got off track. Fortunately after restarting car the light went off and everything seemed fine in Session 4

Steve

You don't need to use your brakes going into turn 8

Do you have DOT4 brake fluid?

Here is Ryan and I in session 2 Red group. I had 2 cameras on each of our cars. I edited the 4 videos into one and came up with this!
