Corvetteforum Rally Relay Banner
We have a new Corvetteforum banner courtesy of Internet Brands (see attached picture) and we're working with Corvetteforum’s regional events coordinators to send the banner on a Corvette road trip.
The idea is to pass the banner along from CF member to CF member across the country, making stops at large and small Corvette events along the way and documenting with pictures and text the journey as it progresses.
Of course, we’ll want each participant in the Corvetteforum Banner Rally Relay journey to sign the banner during its travels. We’re working on decals or static cling stickers to put on the Corvettes that are actually involved in escorting the banner in the relay.
DebRedZR1 will be the Corveteforum Banner Rally Relay Captain and the banner is being shipped to her in Western Michigan. The list of events suggested for CF Banner Relay stops during the coming 12 months includes:

Tentative Schedule
Help fill in the gaps!
We hope you’ll help fill in the gaps in time and distance with suggestions on other stops you want to include in the banner’s Corvette road trip across the country. It would make sense to try and schedule CF Rally Relay Banner visits and hand-offs in snow-prone areas during warmer months, but the itinerary is up to you and those willing to escort the banner.
Post your suggestions in this thread or pass them along to the DebRedZR1 and the regional events coordinator in your area. Work with Deb, your RC and each other to coordinate pick-up and pass-off locations, dates and times.
If there isn’t a regional events coordinator in your area and you’re willing to help, just let us know.
The proposed guidelines for the Corvetteforum Rally Relay Banner go something like this:

The proposed guidelines for the Corvetteforum Rally Relay Banner go something like this:
- The Rally Relay Banner can only be carried and passed to registered members of Corvetteforum.com
- The Rally Relay Banner can only be moved in a Corvette.
- All actual Corvetteforum members are eligible to sign the Banner while it is in transit, but just one signature per Forum Member is allowed on the Banner (Name and CF User ID).
- A photo or photos of the members involved in the drive should be submitted along with a story and the route traveled by the Rally Relay Banner. Submit these stories to a "Rally Relay Banner Travels" sticky thread in an appropriate section – maybe National Events.
Are you interested? Do you have suggestions on how to make the project work? Just let us know.

I am in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area.
I think all the Regional Co-ordinaters have to look at people that want to go with the banner in their geographical area and people that have the time to make a long trip. There is no reason that the people that want to go from state to state or people that want to pick-up the caravan in their geographical area, cannot pick up the caravan at a certain point. We can co-ordinate this at the local level and the state level as we find out some more definite times for California.
I guess we will need link-ups in LA and San Diego. What are So Cal members thinking?
Just a thought, a stop at Solvang for food and maybe a handoff at Hearst Castle to the Central Cal people. The drive along the coast is very nice.

Sounds good. Be sure to coordinate with DebRedZR1.

Melting Slicks
Probably best not to let Vasta actually carry the banner in his car. Unless of course he has the BuVette. The BuVette is way more reliable then his corvette.. lol

We have an All Car Lovers show on November 2nd at the Escondido Elks lodge. We will have a member from Las Vegas out that could take the banner in that direction. Will ask if he is willing to participate!

I have a spreadsheet I am working on with everyone who wants to help. PMing me your event and dates or places you will be is the easiest way for me to keep things updated July 21 we will kick things off in Wixom Michigan.
