Default Procharger and smog chk question for a 2006

I'm having an hard time trying to get an executive order # to get the car smog tested

I'll save your the long story that I had with a shop that installed my ProSC. It was a complete nightmare. They had my car for 3.5 months and I had threaten to call the police to finally get my car back. Somehow they didn't get a tune from Procharger and install it. ProChrgr won't provide another shop or me the stock tune.

ProCharger support mentioned that there was an EO# D365-6 for CA that should cover my car but it only seems to go to 2005. http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/de...eo/D-365-6.pdf

Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

I read the exemption and noticed it was dated in 2005, which may be the reason it doesn't include later models. On the procharger site, they claim the kit is 50 state legal for 2005-2007, so maybe there is a later exemption that applies.

Thanks. I looked for a new exemption notice but couldn't find one. I tried a search on the site but no luck. I even called the Air Board bu they were no help at all.

Just doing some checking myself. Looks like not all their systems have an EO# for the charger or the system. Even the link on their website for the 2005-2006 Corvette says the 2005 systems are EO compliant but nothing for the 2006. They have a new kit for the C7 which I can't find anything about their being an EO# for that system as well. Looked at the ARB database and found nothing. By chance is there a EO# stamped somewhere on the charger.
I have the A&A kit on my C5. It came with an EO# stamped on the charger. That is how I got it smogged all the time with that EO#. Now A&A has an EO# for the kit. Never had any issues getting it smogged.

That D-365-6 EO# seems to only apply to the 2005 Corvette. If yours is stamped and that is the EO# than I can see how you are having issues. Maybe a call into Procharger can help.

Hope you get it all figured out. Cali Smog sucks.

Man sorry to hear about your issues with the shop that installed the pro charger. That is for sure not the way business should ever be conducted.

I know they pass for 05' but i dont think it transfers over for 06' (not positive though).

If you ever need any work feel free to give us a call (310-326-2399), Email or PM. We are in the South bay

I'm still looking for a smog smart shop that knows how to handle corvettes with superchargers. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Procharger refused to provided me a EO # since the shop that did the install did not get their tune when the system was purchased. Why the install shop didn't do that I have no idea. Of course I didn't know any better since I'm not a corvette expert and they claim to be corvette specialists but obviously they aren't. This could have been an easily avoidable predicament for me.

There's no EO # on the SC.

You might try talking to A&A Corvettes in Azusa, They install CARB legal superchargers, and might be able to offer advice.
