Radar detectors are not illegal here.

Im active duty as well and I never swapped my plates to California since im a FL resident. Keep your plates you have on their now and don't worry about it. Makes it a lot easier without having to worry about any of the hassle of Cali laws. Jay

The Corvette Owners Club of San Diego is one of the largest and most active Corvette clubs in the country. We participate in a range of events. Our website is about to undergo a big upgrade, but there is info on the current one, www.cocsd.com.

The first weekend in November is the Vettes for Veterans car show in Carlsbad, hosted by North Coast Vettes. A group of us are running our Corvettes with Speed Ventures at Auto Club Speedway that weekend.

A few of us get together at K1 Speed, an indoor electric kart track in San Diego, every 2nd and 4th Friday at 11. Our general meetings are the 2nd Friday of each month at the La Mesa Womans Club at 7:30 pm. Come join us!

Default Corvette clubs

There are several Corvette Clubs in the area to choose from. Visit each of them before joining any of them.

You might be interested in El Cajon Cruise night (every wendnesday during summer months) and Cruzin Grand in Escondido (Fridays). They are mainly for classics, but it's a good time for car guys.
