Congrats on the new Vette!
From my understanding, Corvettes really wake up with suspension mods. The best wheels, tires, sways, shocks and any weight savings like seats will make it more and more fun.
That said. For engine mods, go for a full exhaust package front to back. It's easier all at once. Headers, cats, x or h pipe, and mufflers. Get an intake but make sure it's easy to install and uninstall for smog checks.
I'm fairly new here too, the more experienced guys can chime in on cams, fuel system upgrades, big manifolds and everything else. Use Youtube as a search, tons of different setups out there.
And Welcome!

First, you have to find out if the heads were fixed on that thing. Read in C6 Z06 section all about LS7 dropping rods, and blowing up engines.
Then, after that, call A&A Corvette for a SuperCharger, and don't waste time with little performance mods.
After that, you won't need anything else!!! Except cash to buy new rear tires often....

California has a smog problem, so any engine mods must be smog legal. Not the most dynamic advice ever, but wouldn't want you to start your plans badly.
The laws have been in place long enough that they are now going into tighter inspections, with some here complaining that they can no longer skirt the laws as they did before.
I liked the advice that suggested suspension mods. This made a lot of sense to me, since the big attraction of sports cars for me is superior performance. these cars are already a traction limited design, power is not the weak link.

California sucks but you can pick up power, http://www.americanheritageperformance.com
Has ported LS7 heads and you can get a sleeper cam that technically isn't legal but will pass the smog sniffer.
You can port the ls7 intake manifold and TB or go with the FAST which is CARB legal. Can't due much with the exhaust but it is factory 3in, xpipe wouldn't hurt and is legal, the NPP mufflers can be modded to remain at full open. And a great tune!
