Cancer Benefit drive/tour/show/50-50 17Jan2015
Jeff’s Fun Run is ready for our sixth year, planned to be the best event yet. Beginning at Ken Grody Ford in Buena Park, this “RAIN OR SHINE” Poker Run/driving event takes Hot Rods, Sports Cars and Motorcycles to visit interesting automotive based locations in our area to take in the best of local car culture and vendors. While meshing all aspects of the motoring world, we raise a few bucks for Cancer research in the process, while having fun.

AFTER JANUARY 1st 2014, ALL ENTRIES WILL REGISTER AT KEN GRODY FORD ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT
Having been to a number of these, it is well run and attended with ALL types of cars, including many Corvettes. The fellowship is icing on the cake while raising some decent charitable cash; the variety of shops visited changes each year with host sites welcoming us to look around and see their interesting, quality work, as each visitor desires.
The poker run, drive, car gathering at the end make a nice, somewhat unique Saturday activity, with a high percentage of return attendees; the route and stops changing annually.

ALL the proceeds from this go to City of Hope cancer research.
Did I mention this is fun?
The 6 stops being inviting, specialty shops that you may not know exist.

This post needs another speed bump! It'll be a good event! I understand Whalepirot will be driving down from Anchorage. Anybody want to join him for the cruise?

Yup. Even have the tee shirt!
I'm helping staff at the start; Grody Ford in Buena Park.
I promise NOT to bring the 1955 F100 on C4 suspension. Its L83 383 runs great on the Edelbrock carb, but it has no brake pedal or master cylinder.. yet.

First stop is Mattson's radiator, a three generation family shop. These guys really know their stuff for solving or properly building cooling systems.

Final stop is Choppit custom cars; some really radical, all extremely well done. It's where we chow down, determine the poker winner, the 50-50 and enjoy the vehicles and owners.

Final post on this.
Y'all missed a good one. Of the 160 cars, there were 4 C6s, one each C4 (HotRodRoy) and one C1, which was actually featured on the flyer.
The 50/50 was $550 and others won a loaded Hillco fastener chest of drawers, another chest (also metal) of Hillco drawers for small parts, a 36" LED TV, and numerable other prizes.
To date, over the years of this show/run/show, we have been able to give $25000 to cancer research in the name of Jeff; the run named for him.
We Vette guys (okay, I had our F-powered Nash) got to put a face to a name from here, and enjoyed the banter with each other while enjoying quite a range of beautiful cars on a beautiful day.
