Default Shaved some pounds w/new battery install

Battery fit very well in the back corner of tray, just used some industrial velcro to keep it in place. I decided to go this route for a few reasons:
Weight, space for catch can, and minimizing battery cable required(front mounted)

I'm guessing this isn't meant for a daily driver? Because if that can handle several years of daily use, that would be a dream come true.

So how are you going to ensure that your 120 amp alternator does not exceed the 24 amp max input rating on the battery after your starter drains it down? And we've all heard of the perils of mistreated lithium batteries and how they can bring down an airplane.

Hey guys,
Been driving the car daily for about a week now - so far so good!

I was recommended to use this model battery from a friend of mine on here, who has contributed in the past about a similar battery; which has been in his car for about 4 yrs now.

I decided to test it out for the wealth of the everyone, we'll see how it goes

I read this post with great interest, advancements are always welcome, thanks for sharing.

Good to know it worked out for your friend , I hope you do as well or better. I have far too many areas of opportunity,(service codes) to open another area in the battery section , but am looking forward to your experiences with making this type of power work in our cars.

Lithium is all I use in my various rechargeables, and the TEsla store is doing ok. As a matter of fact, when you walk by you can almost hear the coffin nails being hammered. One window pitches two motors, the other, auto pilot. Tastefully, of course.

I appreciate your initiative.

Please do update this thread periodically, especially if you run into any problems. One thing I'm interested in is how many days you're able to go between starts without the battery draining too low to crank the engine.

You need a shorai charger if the car sits a lot. I have a shorai battery and charger on my bike and plan to get one for my corvette when the deka battery dies.

There was a Shorai thread in the C6 tech forum where a member contacted Shorai directly & was told the Deltran B-T tenders were perfectly compatible w their Li batteries.

So far so good! The car is running like a raped ape

Battery voltage has been staying very consistent, starts and runs the same way as the 35 lb battery in fact.

Wish I would have taken pics of the instillation. I can post part #'s of products used if anyone is interested.
