Yes, I'm using the AIM Solo DL and RaceRender to make my videos. I tried every app out there along with an external GPS and bluetooth OBDII dongle and found them all to be very unreliable.

The Solo DL is pretty slick. It is hardwired into the OBDII for data AND power. I snaked the cable up the A-Pillar trim and mounted the Solo in the upper left corner of the windshield. Looks and works great.

Thanks Dave! Congrats to you for your new PB!

Another great CC season in the books!

We've just about finalized the schedule for next year. We're just putting the final touches on it now and should have it out in the next day or so I should think.

Blah blah tires dead, whine, etc.

Session 3 which was a clean 3 laps. 33.3, 32.5, 32.5.

Session 2
- I was very excited for this - I managed to make it out the typical "gridded behind slower cars" purgatory after just the first ungridded session and was ready to fail to keep up with Dave. Alas, held up for most of the laps. Final lap was clean and 32.9.

I need to study these vids! I will for sure try a tighter line into 2 and 8 next time.

That must be the track record for a pads and tires C5Z no?

Willow Springs (WSIR) C5 Z06 - Full session with data - YouTube
Lloyd - FWIW I like your other camera angle better. It's fun watching your steering inputs. Especially with shot tires

No way, especially if tires are open. I did a 1:31 in June when the tires were fresher which is a bit better but if you open it up to an A6 or something the car should be well into the twenties. Assuming the driver is strong enough to keep themselves off the door, anyway.

The fastest stock time (stock tires) I have heard for the C5Z is from here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...es-willow.html

Edit: and the quoted lap time of 1:30.6 on Goodyear Supercars is what drives my goal of 30s on a max performance street tire and high 29s on a fresh R888 or NT01. So I am definitely leaving time on the table right now.

I export the data out of the AIM software into excel and plug it into Racechrono2avi, which will read a csv file into a video. It can render a lot of variables, but it is a bit of a bear to get the data formatted like it wants so I have just been doing speed lately.

Then I just sync up the two in a video editor. Slow, but cheap.

Okay, I'll have to check that out once I have some data on my SOLO. One more question, are you using the RAM windshield mount for the SOLO or something else?

Okay, thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of trying something different, but short of drilling holes, the Ram seems to be about the best option.

Default RED 2- Full session with a 'bit' of data

Here's RED 2, in full (well most), with some data I managed to squeeze out of the normal AIM SOLO (non DL), so got speed, lap times, track layout and g-force ... Some good footage of Kevin (once I catch back up to him in traffic and under yellow!), and bit of Charlie too .. My PB (again) is lap 6, 1:30.8 ...
