Default Repainted the Z

Been putting it off for awhile now, but finally got it done

Changed the color from stock black to Cyber Grey with 2 layers of clear coat.
All new weather stripping, badges, tail lights and head lights.
The shop takes the body panels completely off and sands and paints them.

Elite Auto Body in La Mesa, Ca. did a great job, could not be happier.

Absolutely gorgeous! They did a great job!

Nice color choice, too.

I have been contemplating where to have my hood and flared fenders painted when I'm ready in a couple of months - these guys made my short list.

I've referred many of my friends, both Vette and non Vette to Adrian's shop. Reasonable prices, easy to work with, and outstanding work. I've had two of my previous C5's there for painting work. No complaints

Thanks, Varmit. Sounds like it would be worth the trip down to Elite to have mine done.

Did they color sand it for you?

My 93 Ruby Roadster had some paint damage at a shop with good insurance early in its life and got a total repaint at the Bay Area's best body shop. They put on enough clear to completely color sand it and I have never seen a 40th that looks that good.

No good paint job is cheap, but with body panels without dings or waves at least you are paying for paint and clear and not a lot of filler and body work to straighten panels.

I would think anything in the $10k range would be called a good deal. In NCal we had a guy that lived up near Tahoe that had a paint booth out back of his house. It would take him months but you could get a great repaint at about half price, since he had no overhead.

Yes, they color sanded it. No orange peel nor ripple anywhere.
