I posted in the wrong forum a few days ago so I am re-posting. I'm buying my first corvette. I'm a car / motorcycle guy / shade-tree mechanic all my life, but don't feel so competent on this one and need a mechanic or enthusiast to help review a car.

I looked at the car last weekend and it looks good. Just need a 2nd, more serious and thorough look. It is a C5 and located in north county Carlsbad/Oceanside/Vista area. I will pay someone for their time (preferably a corvette mechanic).

I am just a few miles away, but I will admit that I'm not too C5 saavy. Other than universal car inspection stuff, the knowledge on the stability control boxes on the 99/2000 model year change-over- not sure of the trouble areas to look for.

If you need to borrow a compression tester or something specific- maybe i could be of help there.
