Default Feedback needed - grinding noise

Loud grinding noise while shifting up or down in my '73 Corvette. Maybe clutch plates, or fluid?

Could be a clutch adjustment i.e. pressure plate is not disengaging / not enough throw and causing gear thrash. Could be the trans, could be the throwout etc etc...not really enough info to guess though.

It is happening as I down shift into neutral when I'm going over 50mph. If I drive slowly the downshift is ok, no grinding, no noise.
