If anyone would like to add any anecdotes about Ray and Lloyd, I started a thread in the "IN MEMORIUM" forum.

Ray's Daughter - Sue
Lets meet on Saturday, May 9th at the Whole Foods parking lot at the corner of Tampa and Rinaldi at 9:00am.
Not to cruise, but just to chat.
Almost as much as driving Corvettes, Ray enjoyed talking about them.
As many have documented in the last couple of weeks, Ray enjoyed the people of the Corvette community as much as the cars themselves.
Even a stroke, the lack of speech (in the beginning) and a wheelchair couldn't keep him away from the Valley GTG.
So let's get together on Saturday, not to mourn Ray's death, but to celebrate his life and the effect he had on us all. Let's share stories about the things he did for the Corvette community, us as individuals and the fact that it was almost impossible to not smile once Ray started telling a story.
As Ray would say "I'll bring the donuts!"
Just give me an idea of who is coming so I can bring enough. Either post in this thread or send me a PM.
I hope to see you all there,
Guy

Hi, I am Ray's Daughter and I THANK YOU for all the posts, sharing your stories about Dad and remembering him so fondly. It has been a difficult time for us -- being able to go to this blog and keep a glimpse of his joy is great. My Dad is the best - he will always be in our lives!
We will miss him.. He was a big part of our community....
It was nice to see everyone today..
RIP Ray...p

It would be my pleasure. They are made from polished stainless steel.
Let me know how tall, you would like it and I will scale to match.

Ray Day
Thank you so much for having a Ray Day, I know he is smiling down laughing . He loved all the corvette, and car show functions he attended. And you are absolutely right he loved the BSing too. I will have a memorial for Ray, the problem is the investigation is taking a long time. There is no cause of death. Because of this I would not be able to have him at the memorial if I do it now. I must be patient and let stuff happen. Thanks again ~Love~C6 and G.

Can't thank Guy enough for organizing a meet for our lost brothers as well as making the remembrance stickers and skulls. It was such a good day to see so many of the regulars, as well as many from our past gatherings. Shootin' the sh#t and telling stories about our brothers and the many many good times that we had. We will never forget Ray and Lloyd and know they're always watching over us. 😇

It was wonderful to see all of my corvette brothers and sisters today to remember Lloyd & Ray. They will both be missed. They were great guys to hang out with at the gtg.
It was great to see everyone again too.
Guy/RookieRacer you are a class act and everything you did today with the donuts and stickers and steel emblems really added the best touch to a beautiful morning remembering two great guys. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
Lloyd and Ray, I hope your looking down on us smiling and at peace.
