C6Ray Memorial Service Sat. June 13th
I just received notice from Ray's wife (and permission to post the details) that a memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday June 13th at 10:30 am.
The service will be held at:
St. John Eudes Church
9901 Mason Ave.
Chatsworth, CA 91311
Seems fitting that it is the 2nd Saturday of June.
Not sure if that was planned or not.

Is anyone familiar with this particular church? It looks like there are two adjacent parking lots: one off Mason Ave and one off Lassen St. I'm wondering which one we should use.

Ray's wife called today and asked me to let everyone know that there will be a reception after Ray's service. The reception is at 1:00pm.
The reception will be held at:
The Odyssey Restaurant
15600 Odyssey Dr,
Granada Hills, CA 91344

For those of you unfamiliar with this restaurant, it sits on top of the mountains at the North end of the San Fernando Valley right off of the 405 freeway and Rinaldi.
There are 7 banquet rooms where wedding receptions as well as other types of large banquets are held.
I confirmed with her that it was OK to post publicly, as I can't imagine the expense to host the amount of Corvette people that will be in attendance.
She responded with a resounding "Absolutely! Ray's buying everyone a great meal!"
See you all there!
(Guests will be responsible for their own alcohol purchase.)

Again, Ray’s memorial will be on Saturday June 13, 2015, at 10:30 am at St. John Eudes Church, 9901 Mason Avenue, Chatsworth, California 91311. There is plenty of parking at the Church, street parking and two big lots.
We will then have a corvette caravan to the Odyssey for a reception at 1:00 pm at the Odyssey Restaurant located at 15600 Odyssey Drive, Granda Hills, California 91344. The reception will be held in the Garden Room. The Odyssey is giving us the Valet parking to self park in for free. It is a large area right in the front of the restaurant. No matter what the car, drive up to the Valet and tell him that you are here for Ray Silva’s reception and he will then let you drive through and park your own car.
