Default WTB: LS7 Shortblock/ Longblock - Built or Stock, Also C6Z Diff

Anyone have an LS7 for sale? Will pay fair price for a longblock or shortblock, built or stock. I bought a take-out LS2 shortblock off a forum member last year and built it into a strong motor, but now I am looking to build a dry sump 427.

Also looking for a C6z diff and or TR6060 trans.

Not a bad idea, and I thought about that, but you can't spray 100% of the time. 427 will make 100ft/lbs more to the wheels at all times! Plus I want to go C6Z trans/ diff. You know how hit and miss it can be to get these C5 diff's to live... Then the car will be all C6Z mechanicals underneath.

That's the same reason I sold my nawz stuff and bought a blower. Got tired of filling bottles and waiting in line behind all the kids filling bottles for party use. Although you could spray the LS2 for a bit then build the LS7 and spray that puppy.

Yes I will more than likely spray the LS7 For now the LS2 is a good motor that I will sell as a proven longblock to fund the LS7.

Anyways lol, I just made payment on an LS7 shortblock, now need heads and Fast 102! Anyone?

What are you looking to get for the LS2? I may be interested for my car or the Blazer.

I need to think about that, it won't be coming out for a couple months though.

If you are willing to separate it, I'd for sure want to buy back the shortblock. That reluctor wheel will is what I need for my 06 TBSS. I would need different heads anyways and I'm sure you could sell your top end seperate anyways.

c5 diff will live fine at ls7 power levels. Do a 300m short and long shaft, and a trans brace.

Ryne I agree but there are many stories about broken 3-ribs or broken t56 mainshafts and the second either of those happens the trans or diff is only worth a core at best. It will be nice to not have to worry ever about diff carnage. If i was doing 1/2 or mile events only I would leave it without a doubt.

Most of the mainshaft failures I've seen have been due too wheelhop or more commonly not having a trans brace.. I've have multiple customers that run low 10's/9's with manual c5's

I have a DTE trans brace, Pfadt motor mounts, and Pfadt trans mount and I'm still getting wheel hop on Hoosier drag radials... I agree wheel hop is the diff killer. Street tires or Hoosier R6 I get zero wheel hop whatsoever.
