Dyno Day Close By?
Hi SoCal, looking for a dyno day either in San Diego (Preferred) of even in OC for a baseline dyno. Hopefully we can get a few vettes out there and make it meet. Thx!

That would be a lot of fun, they have a nice dyno there as well.
Would be a good level comparison. And you could see who's shop does what around here

I'm in at 3 for $50 IF it includes A/F ratio using tailpipe sniffer. I don't just flog the car to flog the car ('64), but to gather meaningful data to better tune it.
Let's hope that West Coast has had their A/F meter calibrated since the last time (read about 1.1 point higher than what everyone expected/was reading on their computers), if that's where we end up.

Before we did West Coast Corvettes back on 9/15/12, we did it at OC GM Performance on 11/15/08. It was the day of the Villa Park fire and was very hot (92 F) with the air choked with smoke reducing hp numbers. Their web site is no longer up and the last phone # for them was 714-828-OCGM.
I sent the owner an e-mail stating that we are ready to do it again at 3 pulls for $50 with A/F and if it (e-mail) still works, should get an answer.
Edit:
E-mail link bounces back so I guess they are no longer around.

I sent an e-mail to Superior:
The CorvetteForum represents that largest group of Corvette owners on the Web, or probably anywhere, for that matter. Every few years the various regions of the CorvetteForum have a “dyno day” where people can bring in their cars to have them dyno tested. In the past, we’ve always done three pulls with A/F readout for $50 per car. Because this only occurs every few years, the sign-up and turnout can be quite large keeping the dyno in use all day/weekend.
If Superior Automotive is up to it, and can provide these services at this rate, we would love to arrange for such an event.
Thanks,
Todd Brody,

Superior Automotive is up for it!
Reply to my e-mail:
We would be delighted to have the Corvette Dyno Day per your email. Just let us know what Saturday you plan on and we will let you know if it is available. Right now, we have booked Dyno Days on July 18th and July 25th. Any other Saturday is yours. Arleen
OK, I got the ball rolling, so the OP is back on the hook to make the arrangements with the CorvetteForum (best day, sign-up, $$$ arrangements, etc.) and Superior Automotive. For best hp numbers, try to pick a cool day.

Thank you. I’ve let the Corvette Forum know and we will need to establish the best day for all and a sign-up list. I or someone from the CorvetteForum will be in contact.
Thanks,
Todd Brody
