I didn't reply b/c I didn't hang with the movers, tho I'd heard nothing about AV closing. NOISE may effect that, in time. Some of the small group from Monarch (@PCH) Center may drift that way, as noise is an issue there.
It'll be interesting to see how the wait and lineup for the 7am entry for CM will work out.
AV is quite a bit more convenient for me, but I'd not miss some of thee cars that are not on the new invite list.

from the OC Cars and Coffee website:
Cars we emphasize — price/value is NOT a consideration
Preference is given to
•Cars 1975 and older – older cars will take precedence over newer cars
•Sports Cars, Classics, Exotics, Hot Rods
•Nostalgic/unusual – cars that draw a crowd! Cars you want to photograph!
•Cars that are not regularly seen on the roads of Southern California
•Cars that are not daily drivers
Lowest preference is given to
•4-door cars 1975 and newer – most will be asked to park in spectator parking
•Electric/hybrid cars of any make
•Trucks, vans, wagons, SUVs
This is a NON-COMMERCIAL gathering
•No solicitation
•No dealer displays
•No product demonstrations
•No “wrapped” vehicles
•No For Sale signs
•No group food/beverage brought into the lot
•Consult with the hosts if you have a question

Heard this was a bust? Big turn out at Aliso as usual with four Ferrari 246 Dinos, many Corvettes(and two of the original players that founded Irvine Cars and Coffee).
Turn out kept getting bigger as many went to Fairgrounds to check it out, saw that it was a mess and hurried down to Aliso.
Anyone go to the Fairgrounds to confirm?

It was a mess but there were a lot of cars and people there.
1st they tried to stage everybody outside of where the cars were actually going to be and then have them move to the showing area. There was some talk about registration but I didn't fill anything out. They should have just let everyone pull in to where they were going to be.
2nd the area for the cars should have been at least 3 times larger. The area they had was full by just a little after 6:30 but there were still cars coming in at 7 that should have been on display.
I don't think they expected that many people or cars to show up for the first show.

Hopefully any idiots can be self policed by the group so it isn't ruined.

I'm sorry I didn't hear about this earlier, would've loved to join you guys. Please keep me posted for any future showings. I haven't been to a C&C meet since Irvine closed down. Looks like a great turnout and thanks for sharing the pictures.

Looks like they underestimated the attendance of the first show. With that many cars showing up CnC should be over in lots I & G where there is plenty of room for all, but right now they're full of dismantled OC Fair equipment. Hope the Fair equipment moves to storage soon so CnC can move go over there, because stuck in the small lot H behind the Marketplace was just crazy.

I was there this past weekend and the parking space was way too small for the amount of cars that showed up. There were some really nice cars that showed up around 7 and were turned away to park in another parking lot. Aliso C&C is probably the best one in OC so far. I also attended a C&C that was hosted by the Rusnak Group at the Santa Anita racetrack which was a huge success. The security there was super cool with everyone. Over 200 cars showed up to that one.

AV was just fine this morning, with some incredibly rare and valuable cars. Sure, the row of Mustangs was there, but also plenty of auto eye candy. In all, the sprinkling of regs and new with a few loud show-offs working to get it ended.
Despite the Fair 'rules' I saw quite a few dealer plates and was glad not have waited in the long line to park (via M-bike).
