I own and operate an environmental service firm: phase I site assessments; subsurface soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations; underground storage tank removal/closure; site remediation by exploratory excavation and vapor extraction; groundwater monitoring well installation; geophysical surveys with magnetics and ground-penetrating radar; asbestos surveys; indoor air monitoring, etc.
I hated getting up at the crack of dawn to meet the drillers then break my back dealing with the split spoon sampler all day after drilling through who knows what.
Much easier to take a few noise measurements along the roadside and write up the report.
Currently working with the City of Seal Beach to document the post project noise levels around the 405/22/605 interchange for a possible pending lawsit.

I used to do that stuff too.

Cops love Vettes: fact or myth.
I've had my crystal red C7 vert for 18 months and 27,100 miles. I was stopped for the first time on Monday for speeding in Big Bear Lake. I asked the Sheriff for a break and got off with a warning. My home and business are within close proximity to four police jurisdictions: LAPD, LA County Sheriff, Glendale PD, and CHP. I regularly get honks and waves from cops. I've gotten numerous compliments on my Vette from cops. What is your experience?
