Good to you those who have strayed from the flock still come home for the good stuff. On those first Lone Pine runs we made friends that will last forever!

Yeah, that was one hell of a day for sure and we all had a good laugh, except for the dude that was behind you getting a lube wash LOL! and of course you

Hell, he may even chime in and want some cash back for a detail that I'm sure cost him a pretty coin!

Mamo Motorsports huh? Details....

My vette went to New York after I blew the motor at Willow Springs in the rain and Charlie had just built a badass motor for me. I'm still in touch with the guy that bought it but he has since sold it and now has a bitch'n vette road racer and a new Z06. He sold his Porsche race car and is a loyal Chevy guy now. I guess some good came out of that sale

Anyway as Karen says, we've gone from "low and fast to high and slow"

Great hearing from you and lets hope 2016 will be the year we all meet, cruise and swap stories over a few beers and pizza

Stano

P.S. Maybe we can do the Lone Pine yodel on the deck at Pizza Factory
I was one of those following and thought at first it was just global warming **** 😀😀

Hi Jim,

Set the way-back machine to 2002.. A CF trip to Yosemite organized by GrzldVet

Fond memories of a few fundraisers at The Plank as well!

No clue why I happen to pop into the Southern California forum, but I think I put together at least 10 runs to Yosemite, and the first to Death Valley, where I crashed The Stano and I put together the Lone Pone run. Awesome times, met some great people, that I am still in contact with.
Here is a videos of some of those trips - Ignore the opening picture date, that is when I took the pic, and had to watermark it for a contest.

I did all the Lone Pine ones and tried one to Yosemite organized by someone from San Francisco. I wound up being the only one there but had a great time anyway, it's an awesome place.

That was me. I wasn't going to do them anymore but got prompted by at least 10 people to do one more, so I did, then no one showed at the meet place. Somehow you and I got our wires crossed that weekend. Funny how you remember certain things like that and forget what you had for lunch 2 days ago

You tube video of trip up to Bristlecone forest unfortunately the You Tube copyright police muted the sound because of the music.

Trip down the mountain with sound
