Was this cancelled? Got there to watch at 10:00, made right at T-intersection at end of Airport Way but there were no signs. Saw no activity and no vettes. Could be me...

Beautiful but VERY windy day today.

Nice to be with Donny and Mike. Great to see Scott in his Viper and Scott in his Suburu. New guy JR showed up. Ryan and me commiserated about cleaning our black Vettes last night only to have tons of dust/dirt get blown all over our cars.
***forgot to mention Ron and Randy***

But as usual Guy and his car delivered the best entertainment. Even with new A7 Hoosiers he managed to be only one flying off the track. Thought you were definitely going to be buying a new Kia

I pretty much sucked today but stayed for a few bonus laps and finally used the line Donny suggested plus got a little pissed off to put down a respectable 35.73 on my used runflats. My Track Addict was not very accurate today, I must not have set the GPS coordinates too good. TA has the lap as 36.2 but if you blow up the screen of the timer you will see the 35. It should not be off by .5 seconds ??????!!!!!!!!

Here is the lap:

Lorenzo clicked off a couple of 32.30s in my car during practice and was trying for that elusive 31.999 in time trials. Unfortunately a little too much throttle in the final turn approaching the finish line got him sailing through the beams sideways at 75+ mph. He still set a mid 33 on that lap

I managed a couple of mid 33s on by best time. I guess we are doing ok for our second autocross event ever in an all stock 2002 Z06 with T1 bars and some Bilstein sport shocks. Hopefully we can get faster as I start to work more on the chassis, setup and engine.

Been about 12 years since I last I raced anything.
At 53, I'm finding my skills have certainly deteriorated and are sluggish in returning.

I had a blast. Really windy out. But, My best was a 35.48 in my stock family car (EVO X).
All that matters is that I got a faster time then the all mighty and famous Dirty Howie

Scott you got me by .25 seconds ......... good job (and my time didn't count anyways )

I may be famous but that was earned on the road course running street tires for good times on the high speed tracks. AutoX is brand new to me and at 65 my reflexes and vision are as much a factor as street tires are at AutoX events.

Looking forward to the next battle

A lap with Lorenzo........

He hits the rev limiter at the top of 2nd gear right before the horseshoe turn. I forgot to bring my EFILive, so we had to live with it. I never had that much speed going into the horseshoe.

We also hit the rev limiter at the top of 2nd gear after the final turn on the way to the finish line, so we were shifting to 3rd right after the apex of the final turn.

Yeah same thing too, but I didn't want to wake up early. Drove around there at 930 and didn't even hear any cars.

Sucks they couldn't have a sign and or even someone just standing to let people in. Well supercar Sunday was fun. Even saw 2 members from the forum there.
