Word is some new PB times were had on Sunday. Sounds like some good times.
Anyone get any video?
I'll post the official times as soon as SV posts.

Red 2
We had a nice day, albeit a bit slippery with the wind blowing lots of dirt everywhere (and after they split the Red/Green Run groups! )...
I managed to beat my previous CW time by .3 ... here's some video, chasing fast Fitz, and a Porsche race car ....
(overall times are posted on SV site, but not the Challenge results yet-- http://www.speedventures.com/results/Default.aspx)
pix are up at Caliphotography too.....
(make sure and set the quality to 1080 for best viewing, providing you have a fast enough connection - default is 480)

I didn't take video, but my "hero" lap of the day is during the first lap of Dave's RED2 video, look for the tiny silver dot in the rear cam.
It seems like both the R888 and NT01 at end of life are still good for 1 "okay" lap right at the start of a session if you make sure to not overdrive them at all. (old R888s at this Feb event: http://speedventures.com/results/Def...id=-1999999130)
Unfortunately the chicane claimed a Civic in the first purple/black(?) session. No passengers allowed for the rest of the day, but it sounds like the Civic occupants were OK which was great.
Nice hanging out as always. It was a bit frustrating that once again SV 1) Combined run groups for the first session then 2) Because of the combined run groups, did not grid by lap times on the second session. But Bill didn't seem too annoyed at being held up while I went for the hero lap in the second session, so it ended up being totally fine.
Trying to decide what the next set of tires will be, interested in opinions as long as the answer is "Hoosier A7". (alternative legal answers: Hankook Ventus TD Soft or Pirelli Trofeo R - both stock class legal )

The soft compound TD's are some of the fastest tires made...faster than the A7's from what I have seen. Had a friend in a GT3 who had been running new A7's at Chuckwalla for the two morning sessions with consistent 1:59 lap times swap to some Hankook TD's and ran 1.5 seconds faster. Also similar experience in a friends M3. I would run the TD's but they don't make them in C6Z06 sizes.

They're now posted on the 'standings' link, from the Willwood Facebook page... not advertised anywhere though, either on that page, or on SV site... maybe they're just now getting it all done.......
