Plastic Fantastic 2016
The 2016, 39th annual Plastic Fantastic all Corvette car show is nearly upon us once again. The date is May 15th. It is So Cal’s premier Corvette car show hosted by San Diego’s North County Corvette Club and sponsored by Bob Stall Chevrolet. Come join us in beautiful Seaport Village parked along the bay under the trees or in the sunshine on the grass with nearly 400 other Corvette enthusiasts. There will be music, food, vendors, raffle, silent auctions and of course Seaport Village to get her shopping done. Dash plaques and a special gift for the first 325 registered participants. As always, awards go to the participant’s choice in all generation categories. Go to WWW.NCOCC.com to download the registration form or this year you can register on line using your credit card. Rain or shine, come show off and share that plastic beauty. We’ll see you there!

This is a good show. Great venue too.
Just an FYI, there's another car show on April 30th at Spanish Landing for F-cars. www.bellaitalia.com
That show has some "exclusivity..."

My line of reasoning brought me through the same sequence of thoughts. This is the first time I've ever seen a Ferrari referred to as a "F-car".

If you venture out to other car forums outside of the corvette circle...F-car (Ferrari) and P-car (Porsche) are referenced quite frequently. But since I had an F-body(GM) back in the day, my mind immediately goes to that first before I realize its 2016 when I see "F-car".

How is the public parking? Not going to enter our 'Vetter but would like to make the drive down there for a look.

WITHOUT VALIDATION it is $8 per hour and gets pricey fast.
There is valet at the 'newer' half of seaport village called the headquarters. They open at 10 or 11am and it's $15 for the first 5 hours and goes up after that.
I spend a decent amount of time in this area and know it well. Hope this helps

I would say the majority of those that purchase a ticket are not doing so to enter a car for judging, we just like to park at the show and walk around and support the USO. Up side, you are right there and you don't have to worry too much about where you parked your car. Possible down side, you are there for the duration of the event 0700-1600 so bring a chair. Weather report shows high of 71 partly cloudy so if the wind picks up a little, it can get rather cool right off the water if you are not use to it. See you all next Sunday
