Good shop in the Ventura County/Northridge/Pasadena area?
Hey everyone. Giving this search one more try.
Been looking for a shop for the clutch replacement on my 94 I just bought. Dont have the tools or experience to do it.
Distance is an issue bc the car isn't driveable--clutch went out on drive home right after I bought it. Reasons I'm still searching:
--Shop close to me in Canoga Park sounds like they'll rush the work and do whatever to get the car out asap (got this from their reviews and from talking to them)
--Forum members here advised against a generic shop bc they'll do a poor job w/o the experience.
--American Heritage and the Corvette Shop (Costa Mesa) seem great but are 1.5-2 hrs away (that socal traffic). My AAA Premium membership should get me the tow but don't know if I'll have to settle for a non-flatbed truck
--If a shop can't complete it in 1 business day I'll need to get hotel room. Seems trivial but if I don't stay, I'd be making 2 four hr round trips in a separate car, 1 to drop off and come back and the 2nd to pick up. Already looking at $1,500-2,400 for the work
Maybe there isn't one that isn't very far, just figured I'd ask one more time. Thank you.

You can request a flatbed truck with a dove tail from AAA Premium membership. Just give them a call about an hour before you need a tow and tell them you have a Corvette. I've used this many times and never had an issue.
Edit: The shop I use for all my work is in Covina. Send me a PM if you want the contact info

I go to A&A Corvette Performance in Oxnard. Their primary business is superchargers, but they do everything on corvettes. And do it well.

Thanks for all the responses. I ended up doing the 80 mile flatbed tow to a transmission shop that was recommended by the Corvette shop that serviced the car for 15+ yrs.
Will post the results of the work in the Gen C4 section. Thanks AAA Premium for saving me I dont know $500-800!
