Weird noise from under the hood...
Not too sure if its a belt issue or harmonic issue but it seems to stay consistent with the amount of gas i use the faster i go the quicker it clicks sometimes its there sometimes its not thats why i think its a belt problem. Any ideas? ill try to upload a sound clip if i can figure it out...

I had a tapping one day when I started it. Was fine when I drove it the night before. Sped up with the motor, sticky lifter I think. I did some research and put a jug of Rislone in the oil. The tapping faded away in less than a minute. That's a $9.00 fix I'm sure the dealer would of loved to charge me 2k for, fuc# them anyway. If you want a picture of the empty can i can post that tomorrow.

Maybe loose belt, alternator or AC pully.

Belts can mimic many other fault sounds. Tis easy to eliminate, spraying with belt dressing or WD, not too liberal application.

Sounds like belt tensioner or the tensioner for the AC belt or the start of the AC Compressor going out if you haven't changed your belts maybe change them and check all pullies and tensioners to see how they spin with no load. Just my .02 hope it helps.

Do you know any local shops that can just do a quick check to see if its a belt issue or something else?

Check your exhaust manifold bolts, make sure they are all there and none have snapped. If the sound is there primarily when cold and goes away when warm could be an exhaust leak. The heat expands the metal and seals the leak so sound goes away or diminishes.
