Default Disneyland Half-Marathon

I just got word that they're still working on the final details for the event, which is SUNDAY, @ 5 a.m.! Somebody must have dropped the ball! Looking forward to seeing the good Corvette gang turnout! It should be a fun day!

I did this event last year and took my '94 ZR-1. I have the ZR-1 for sale so I entered my '08 Z06. They turned me down. I guess they have more than enough newer corvettes going.

Yes, last year was fun! Sorry to hear about your rejection! Guess they like C4's better! We'll miss you! That's a beautiful ZR-1! They're getting tight this year! Only one comp D'land ticket, and it has to be used within 90 days!!! I'll probably give mine to somebody.

It's really funny! I sent them a "what's up?" message last night, and they sent me a "we're working on it" message at 11:30 am. I posted here at 11:38. Just after that they put out their final memo! I didn't realize I had so much power over Disneyland!

I'm #315.

Last year Two comp tickets good for a year. I used mine today before they expired. It ends up to be a long day displaying your car.

Did you explore all of the cars on display? Lots of exotics, early American and European, muscle cars, customs, a few race cars, trick trucks, low riders, motorcycles, etc. I thought it was a great car show! A lot of the runners/walkers/strollers in the event took time out to enjoy the show, too!

Yes I did explore the other cars. Absolutely beautiful! It was one big car show. That doesn't have anything to do with the way Disney has changed the policy's for the people that participated. The tickets were a great perk. Last year I would have participated even without the tickets.

Have fun. Get up at 4:30 am to stand with your car for 5+ hours to get one Disney ticket good for 90 days. No thank you. I'll enjoy sleeping in on this holiday weekend.

Just finished my second year doing this. Got up at 3:45 in Granada Hills. Showered and drove to Honda Center by 5:00. Chatted with fellow Corvette owners until runners started appearing at 6:00. Had fun cheering them on and talking Corvettes with the person parked next to me. Done around 9:00. I'd do it again.

Default Disney Marathon Pics

Here are a few pics of the cars that greeted the runners as they rounded the corner at the Honda Center. The C1's and C2's all belong to members of PVCA while the C3 and C4 belong to our OC buddies. Thanks to HotRod Roy for your generosity and your wealth of knowledge on the '84 C4 platform. There were quite a few open spaces due to the 'No Shows' but still a great day with friends.

This year's event is Sept 3 but only open to invited clubs that have participated in past events. No tickets this time, only a small cash payment to the club for each car that shows up.

Yes, I hear you. I did the run the last two years with PVCA. First time we got two (2) Park Hopper tickets, good for a year, last year only one ticket, only good at one park...and it was only good for 90 days
so yeah...I'll sleep in this year
