Could someone that lives up that way check out which route is open.

We have one of 2 ways we go:

1- Foothill Blvd. to S. Valley Ctr. Ave. to Sierra Madre Ave. to Glendora Mt. Rd. or

2- Alosta/Route 66/Foothill to Azusa Ave. to N. San Gabriel Cyn. Rd. to East Fork Rd.

Thanks so much!

Just a heads up GMR- Glendora Mountain Road has been closed for over a month and is still closed do to increased fire danger. Now there is a alternative area we could go, which is the road towards the ski resort and San Antonio Falls. It however doesn't have a loop, but there are some scenic places to stop.

KJwright88 is right...I live in Glendora and GMR is closed in order to decrease fire risk and keep people out...

This will be my first meetup since owning my Corvette...I have usually always just cruised with other cars, never all Corvettes. I am stoked to see everyones cars and meet everyone...

Since I live in Glendora I will be at D's dinner in La Verne its like 5 minutes from my house.

Is anyone bringing any kind of camera(s) or drones to get good footage?

Hi Shane,

We rather you not take any video of the cruise, pics are okay and drones have been known to drop out of the sky. I don't want one anywhere near my Corvette and there has never been one at The Block. Who's ever putting on the photo shoot, says there might be a drone.

We'll see you on the 23rd and have a great week!

Sparky

By the way, why don't you come to the Pomona Swap Meet this Sunday, the 16th.

Come in off Arrow Hwy., Gate 15, pay $25 to park with all the other 'vettes...there will be over 120 of them all parked side by side in their own corral...zip in and zip out when you're ready to leave.

Get there before 6 AM and you'll have a good chance to be parking in the front row...if not, you'll still get a good place.

I'll be the person that greets you when you pull into the corral. My name is John, but I go by Sparky.

Hope to see you.

Thanks for the heads-up.

We'll be using route #2. Up 39 to east Fork, then out onto Glendora RIDGE Rd., then into Mt. Baldy Village.

Looking at the public works website, says Glendora Mountain road and Glendora ridge road open. Says Hwy 39 to east fork bridge road closed. Mentions on another site GMR planned open 10/22. Hmm, might be open. Well at least what the online map shows.

Ive been trying to get to one of your cruises since I bought my car a year ago. Unfortunately work has had different plans, but I managed to get tomorrow off so I should finally be able to make it! If you see a fat guy in silver c5 coupe that looks lost, its probably me

Well Greg, everything hinges on you!

How the day will go will depend on what the weather is like when I leave Menifee. What the weather is like in Orange. What the weather is like in La Verne...can we see the mountains? Remember, we didn't make the hill last year because of the weather...couldn't see the mountain.

Also, since Greg says that 39 to Eastfork is closed, then we'll do route #1...Sierra Madre to Glendora Mt. Rd. If that's closed, then all bets are off and we work or way back down the hill and have a early lunch at the Hat.

Hope to see you because someone has used that exact line when he was coming to The Block for the first time a while back...was it you?
