Default New South Bay C5 Z06 owner

Hello!

Just picked up a 2004 Torch Red C5 Z06 today. With just 17,000 miles. Can't wait to start learning more about the car from all of you guys.

The car came with the stock Z06 chromed rims and first thing I'd like to do is see if anyone local would like to trade them for the gunmetal z06 rims.

Hope to meet some of you local guys at some shows and meets.

Plans for the car from a performance stand point are long tube headers with catted x-pipe, intake and a tune. Going to go with the MGW flat stick short shifter. And add a 3M clear bra to the front and rear bumpers and maybe a light tint. Other than that going to keep it stock

If anyone has any good places in the southbay area for the above mods, let me know!

Hey man, I am a new owner of a c5z also. I am taking mine to American heritage. I keep hearing good things. Give them a call and they are happy to talk to you about mods and upgrades. I bought an 03 with 57k miles on it. Mint. With an extended warranty.

That's dangerous having you guys just 13 miles away from where I live. I'll definitely be stopping by in the next week or so to introduce myself and talk performance upgrades and more.

Congratulations! Also in South Bay. Have 2004 Torch Red but mine is a vert. Not a typical vert with extensive mods.

I'm 99% sure I live a couple houses down from you. Near Los Verdes?

The headers are not going to make a big difference except for your smog check.
Leave it stock or you will be cast into the underground of black market smog check shops.
Last I heard they can be found for near $1,000 a smog check.
I had a modified C5z I had to sell out of state.
The stock c5z is perfect, pulls 6th gear at low rpm.
Very happy with mine, all stock low mileage black one just like yours.

$1000?! If someone told me that, I'd report them myself for those high prices!
