Default Independent mechanic San Fernando Valley

Does anyone know of a good independent corvette mechanic in the San Fernando Valley? I have a 06 convertible and just looking for general repairs trying to avoid going to the dealers.

I know you are trying to avoid a dealership, but Donny Yorke at Rydell is the best.

I drive by it everyday and had a few quotes, he seems to know his stuff but prices seem high to me. They have a good amount of business.

I just did. Took my C6 in on Wednesday talked with Donny about what I wanted and he handled it for me.

Just walked into Donny's bay ( the very first one). Someone asked me what I wanted and I said I was here to talk to Donny about my Vette. After talking to Donny, he told the service writer what to write up. Going to pick it up tomorrow. I believe Donny only works Wednesday thru Saturday.

One of these really good Vette guys needs to come up here to Willow Springs, buy 2 1/2 acres for 60Gs right in front of the track and put up their own building.

Then have the Great shop right at the track. Only an hour drive from the Valley, no further than going to Oxnard.

There is something to be said about paying rent to yourself.

Just a reminder, while Donny is a great guy and goes out of his way to help us Corvette guys out, technically we can't just go strolling back to his bay and talk to him. I've never had a problem dropping off any of my cars though and specifying to the writer that Donny is to do the work. (then maybe sneak back and give him a heads up).
There are a lot of Corvettes and only one Donny.

Has anyone been to Full Throttle Kustomz in Fillmore? Not that far fro the valley. I have never been to them but Ray McClelland has a shop in Ohio as well and works and tunes a lot of nice cars and some pretty high ranking drivers in the Optima series races. He runs a Mustang Dyno and I know a few celebs go to him like Adam Corrolla. He tunes HPT and just about every other tuning platform. I have not seen anyone talk about him on this forum before. I may take my car to him at some point to see how the shop is and how dealing with them goes. Too many shops just do not care and take their sweet time then over charge for it.

Donny has done work for me in the past but it seems it is more difficult for him to work on stuff now that is modified already.
