Default Grand National RS or Classic Auto Show?

Hey All,

I posted within a thread and thought this should have its own.. Is anyone else bothered that the promoters, and I fault the Classic Auto Show owners, decided to have their show on the same exact weekend over the same 3 days that the Grand National Roadster Show is going on?

These shows are expensive enough, and they have so many products that we all want to see. It would only seem fair to the visitors, and vendors renting space at their show that they do it on different weekends. What happens next is, they both get such low visitor turn out that then both shows get cancelled.. ugh, so mad about this..

I went to the GNRS yesterday with a couple of buddies and we walked ourselves to death. It was packed with cars and people. Plenty of four-wheeled eye candy to enjoy.

The food and drink prices were mind-numbing!

Wife and I thought about going to the GNRS this weekend. Although we've been before and enjoyed it, as we talked about the money we would spend...figured around $100.00 bucks....we passed. Many other opportunities to see great cars for less. (or maybe I'm just getting cheap!)

Exact same reason I didn't go. I have been before and it is a nice show but paying that kind of money just seemed silly.

Whew.......glad I'm not the only one!! Admission, parking, a couple of coffee's, another snack, a bit of lunch with a coke or two, one more couple of coffees. BAM. Lot's of $ gone. Other venues offer more or at least as much for less.
