LA Auto show Up-Date
Got this information from Hib Halverson, Looks like they are trying to plan a Corvette Caravan to see the unvailing. I will try to keep you all up-dated.
C6 at the L.A. Auto Show
Late last week, Chevrolet's office in Thousand Oaks gave us the plans
for
C6 display at the Greater L.A. Auto Show. There is no live-via-satellite
coverage of the unveiling from Detroit like there was in 1997 so, if you
want to really see the car for the first time, you need to be at the
Detroit Auto Show on January 4th.
After the car debuts in Detroit, GM is going to fly it out here and put
it on display at the L.A. Show January 5th. The car will arrive early
Monday morning the 5th and the plan right now is to invite Corvette
enthusiasts to be present to watch the car being unloaded and moved to
the Chevrolet display in the Convention Center.
Undoubtedly some of you are planning on a visit to the L.A. Auto Show on
the 5th to see the 2005 Corvette for the first time so why not make
this
a sort of Caravanner's Reunion?
We'll have more information on this when Chevrolet passes onto us the
time this event will begin.

But I find it strange that they would be pulling the car from the Detroit show to bring it out here....

If this happens I'll be leaving the SF Bay Area (very early) on Monday the 5th for a one day up and back trip to LA.

Already going to the preview night, and I'm not going to pay more money to fight the crowds on a regular day. It's just not worth it to me. :nonod:

C-Ya on the 5th. I wonder what time in the morning that they will be unloading the C6 and bringing into the Convention Center? If you find out the time let me know?

A friend in my club just got the following email from Rick Baldick at GM:

we are in the process of advising Corvette clubs where and when the 2005 Corvette can be seen, the 2005 Corvette will be on the floor in the
Chevrolet display starting 1/5 in L.A. during normal show hours.
