Default It's time to say goodbye....

Well guys, it’s with a tear in my eye that I write this. With the events over the last year and the fact that I have been unemployed for all but about 5 months of it, currently unemployed again, I really need to let the Vette go and trade it in on something that doesn’t cost more than my mortgage per month.

I am looking at a few options but they all include getting rid of the car. Not to mention that it is just a sore spot in the marriage. She doesn’t like the Vette as much as she says she does and just about refuses to ride in it for anything more than a local trip.

I won’t post what exactly I am getting until I get it. However I can say that the wife and I both love it, it’s a two seater sports coupe and has a German lineage.

It’s been a great two years being a Vette owner and a part of this crowd, but I have to part ways with you guys for now. I will have another Vette again one day, hopefully in the not too distant future. I love you guys and the get togethers that I have shared with both east and west coasters alike have been a total blast. You all are like an extended family for me.

With that being said there are a few things on the car that I am willing to part with before I trade it in. The MGW gripper and new pistol grip shifter *****. The Corsa Pace Car exhaust with GTR tips, but I would need an OEM Z06 exhaust to replace it and the Blackwing (I still have my OEM box). Email me privately if you would like to discuss these items.

I am also posting this in a few different places just in hopes that everyone sees it.

I want to wish all of you the best and I hope that I will see you again! If you are local and see a guy not in a Vette wave to you, you know who it is.

Save the wave!

Good luck with the car, job and everything else. Not sure what a vehicle of German descent might be, but hope you get back in a Corvette soon. Or better yet, change of luck and not be vetteless at all. You sure helped make the Lone Pine caravan fun. See ya around...

Once a Corvette is in your blood, no German car will be able to satisfy that craving of raw torque - you WILL have another one some day. Good luck to you and your job search.

Just because you don't have a Vette doesn't mean that you can't hang out here (when your wife isn't looking)!!!

Been great knowing and driving with you, and if you're ever in the LA area, look me up!!!

Sorry to hear that Jeff, but I completely understand. Good luck with the job search - things are tough out there, but slowly improving.

Don't be a stranger to the forums - just because you won't have a Vette doesn't mean you can't hang out and post here - this is a fun place with or without a Vette. :yesnod:

I'll be moving back to NY in about a month. Who knows, maybe I'll see you at some car gathering event in the northeast some day with your Crossfire (did I guess right?) :D

All the best.

Ooops - sorry :bb :leaving: Hey its a cool ride - nothing to be ashamed about.

You're in telecom, right? Unfortunately, probably not. The startup company I'm moving for is a finance company, so we'll be hiring mostly financial analysts and sales people with financial industry experience. :( The office is going to be on Long Island, so it would be a commute from hell for you anyway.

But if I run across anybody in your industry, I'll ask around for you. What do you do specifically?

I am a Sales Engineer / Network Engineer that mainly specializes in WAN and VOIP usually Cisco, but TCP/IP is TCP/IP no matter what equipment you are using.

Hey Jeff,

Good luck to you in your personal and professional life. It was 25 years between my last and current vette. Don't wait that long :yesnod:

BTW, Jay Leno has been asking "What happened to the Joisey Guy?"
