Default v&J

I am taking care of posting the list on the Vettes and Jets website. Wondering what the consensus would be on adding a column for those who want to identify themselves as Members of the Corvette Forum going to the event ? If interested send me a e-mail with your first, last name and Forum "Handle or Nickname". mhunt@stx.rr.com If there is a positive response I'll update the confirmed list at http://www.vettesandjetsonthelex.com/confirm.htm

Absolutely! I'll think something up and post it up when the time comes. If we travel in a pack we shouldn't have any DOT problems with no front plates.

1. Mind if I ask how the car loading and unloading is going to be structured? (The 5am/9pm thing has my attention at the moment). The 5am thing would be a stretch for me, but I perceive that as first come first serve.(???) Do earlier load times = better spot on deck?

2. Will car owners be able to sit with their cars during the day on the deck?

3. Is there an aerial photograph (helicopter) planned with photo purchase option? It would be a crying shame if not.

Thanks....
Bone
1. The Loading / unloading is described on the website http://www.vettesandjetsonthelex.com/lift.htm. The times are based on the requirement needed for getting everyone on deck prior to 9:30 am when the Museum opens. We will be staging the cars as they arrive in the order they arrive. Not surer that there is any one spot on the deck that would be "better than another"

2. Yes no restriction on owners access to the cars.

3. Yes we have made arrangements for Helo overfly and Pictures will be available for ordering.

I'm patiently waiting till payday to send my app in. Stoopid body shop ended up charging me $1150 more than they originally said. Hopefully there will still be spots open.

Thanks for addressing those queries Michael.

1. It sounds like the pre-dawn thing is optional. Great if first-on...first off.

2. Excellent..... deck chairs in order!

3. Excellent...... should be a great photo esp if we get a que to stand by your car!

All the morning people will show up at 5:00am. The night people (me) will show up at 9:29a.

All times between, the lift will be empty.

Sorry but I need to clear this up, the time is NOT optional you must be there at 5:00 am to check in. Failure to do so will put your chance to be on the flight deck in jeopardy 5:00 AM is a must for all Vettes ! I cannot overstress how important this time is to the overall function of the event. Show up late and you may very well end up parked on the pier !!!

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't read between the lines that 5am was manditory.

It will be interesting to see what the organizers can do with 300 cars all showing up at once (5:00 am). Hey I'm paid and confirmed now so it really doesn't matter. Okay 5am it is!!!

I suppose it will be like any other weekday except I get to play with my toy.

Got my room at the Omni. FYI: they have a mutlilevel parking garage with security. Radisson has no garage.

This is going to be a Great Weekend Should be quite a site to see if we can keep all the Vettes from the Houston area together... It will look like a three hour parade

I am very happy to announce that COCH (Corvette Owners Club of Houston) will soon be contributing as a sponsor for this event.

This looks like a wonderful event and we hope to have a nice turnout from our club and the other clubs in the surrounding areas.

Can't wait to see everyone there.
