Drag strip between Dallas and Greenville????????
I saw what looks like a 1/8 mile track about 20 mile north on I30 going to Greenville the other day. It's on the west side of the highway. Anyone know about this or is something else?

If you're talking about the one next to the junk yard, it's an 1/8 mile track. Known for being VERY sticky. Sorry, I don't remember the name of it. Went up there with the club once. I believe they run something most every week.

If it was next to a junk yard it's North Texas Dragway. http://www.northtexasdragway.com/pages/home.htm
Either that or it's Kennedale. http://www.whowon.com/ShowTrack.asp?ID=378
Both are very good tracks.

Okay, I see an error I always make. Maybe Budman did also. Greenville is out east. My bad. If you meant Gainesville (which is north or Denton) as I was thinking then the North Texas Dragstrip is the one. Neither Greenville or Gainesville are anywhere near Kennedale so I doubt it was that one.

I can vouch that you weren't seeing things. I saw the same one on my to Memphis last month. Don't know anything else about it though.

not open yet and yes, there is one opening up. Word was out that they are looking for cars to 'season" the track...

I was by there yesterday...go by monthly to visit the wife's family...
seems like things are moving, for a long while no progress...they were putting up the guardrails last night...and the electronic score boards are up...
Sure would love a contact / more info ?

Believe they are calling the track Red Line Speedway. Originally planned to open in November. They wanted a Corvette day only to help season the track.
Can get info if your interested.

Redline is located in the vicinity of caddo mills and is on the north side of I-30. It is an 1/8 mile track and has been open for quite some time. Been going there over the last 6 years or so.
