Default Things to do in the Denton/Lewisville and North Texas Area

We will be meeting at the Fox and Hound in Lewisville now. It is right off of 35E..
Come on out and meet some of your fellow vette neighbors and future friends. We are always doing something or looking for something to do. Don't worry about being a stranger because there are no strangers in our eyes. Well some are "stranger" than others. We are a group of people that love our Vettes and love to hang out and socialize. Shoot, if I had my way I would do this every day but alas work does have to come into play.

Location: Fox and Hound off of 35E in Lewisville, TX
Time: 7:00pm
Date: Every Tuesday

I am new to the group and plan on attending tonight.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
Do I need to contact anyone in particular or just show up?

Thanks

Bill

Hey BDillion, All you have to do is just show up! We are getting free parking at the valet area there in front ( we will still be parking our own cars. ), just let them know you are with the corvette GTG. Just get there before 8pm or they will charge a $10 cover at the Glass Cactus. I think that's what Helga said. I have never been there but they say it is nice. And getting the free parking to just see the place is worth it. Hope to see everyone there !

Hey Dennis, maybe you should try and make this post a Sticky so that it will be posted on the top. And BTW, YOU and a few others have shown up almost every Tuesday to the GTG's so you have my vote on this new thread. Good Bye to the old and HELLO TO THE NEW, "Things to do in the Denton/Lewisvile and North Texas Area".

OK, you got my attention. I've been meaning to get to one of these GTG's for sometime, but either the weather or something else comes up on Tuesdays, but this time there's no prob. So, I'll see you all this pm. Plus, the Glass Cactus sound interesting. :

we love to see you.

one more time the direction to the parking..
Once you enter the ******* property drive all the way to the end, make a right, you see the valet parking sign as soon as you turn. Park as soon as you pass the valet sign. Mel, one of the Managers from the Glass Cactus let us self park for free in the valet lot.
Remember cover charge starts at 8pm.

Just show up! Park amongst the group if there is one yet, once inside I imagine we'll congregate at the bar, or near it, and there's usually one or two of us wearing Corvette apparel so you can pick us out of the crowd..

Otherwise just look for a kinda short hyper guy yelling and taking pictures

Hey Clete,

Man you got me with the kind of short guy part. Until I get 100% I won't be too hyper though. I'm going to attach a plug to Elio though, kind of like recharging my batteries from the wall socket. That guy is one fast talker too. When you are talking with him, you better have your game on as far as listening is concerned because otherwise no telling what you will be agreeing to. My Bro is always there though. I have noticed that we have all become somewhat of an extended family too. We are always calling each other to ask if anything is going on and stuff like that. I wouldn't have it any other way myself. When friends become family, you have the best of both worlds. See you guys tonight. You will have to excuse my typing right now because I worked a mid-shift and the keyboard is not my buddy right now. See al of you tonight.

PS: I am buying a bunch of cones for future use. Well for reserved parking but you never know about the occasional cone carving.

Hey just wanted to remind everyone that in order to beat the cover charge you have to be there before 8:00pm. Sorry for the multiple posts, but each time I get ready to doze off I remember something else.

Many thanks to Helga for setting up this GTG, even though it didn't turn out exactly as she planned, it was good fun. Great to see everyone and meet new people and say hello to old ones like John, Jeff, and Kelly, that I haven't seen in a while.

I was going to try to make it out tonite, but I was flying back from Oklahoma and it was already 8:00 and I was STILL wheels up, didn't get the car fired up at the airport till after 9....started to head over to the Glass Cactus, then the lack of energy took over and I just went home ...How did things go out there tonite? It was a gorgeous sunset so I bet that was awesome out there!

Rob! Good to see you again! Where have you been hanging out at? I've not been out to the Sergants GTG in a while and I remembered you have moved...just don't remember where you were moving too....I went out to the Races at Kennedale on Friday night with Taco Bob and Dean...we were wondering where you had gotten off to...
