Default (Houston) I need track pads

Anyone in the Houston area have a decent set of front pads for a C5? The ones I ordered are taking too long to get here and I won't have them before this weekend.

New or used, let me know what you have. I'm in a bind here.

Did you try Corvettes of Houston? They had mine (C-6) sitting on a shelf.

Only ones they have are Hawk HPS's. I won't touch those again for the track. Other than that I'm not picky

Did you ever find pads? Just got back from TWS, installed Hawk DTC pads, unbelievable compared to stock, just don't run em on the street though.

Still no pads. Where did you get the Hawk DTC pads? I'll be at TWS this weekend. Really wish my pads were getting here in time

We have Hawk HT10 compound if you are looking for a serious track compound and running sticky tires. They grab quick and release quick, fantastic track pad, but will seriously dust on the street. I change mine out for Hawk cermanic till I get ready to go tracking. Back 40 can tell you how far I was diving into the corners at TWS and how quick I was off the brake. We also have the Hawk HP Plus which is an excellant compound for street tires. HP Plus work great hot and really grip, but aren't worth a darn cold. Hank Wrenn is changing his street pads over to the HP Plus for track and running Michelin PS2 on his C6 Z06, and I ran them on my ZR-1 track car. I know you will be impressed by the Hawk HT10's. Call me we will be here till 4:00pm today and back M-F 8:00am - 6:00pm.

That was left over squeals from Patti riding with me at Grand Sport. It's going to take some time before they are all out. No telling what she would have done had I been sideways.

Thanks for the offers guys. I tried running crappy Wagner Thermo Quiets for the first session today because I really had no choice. Almost went straight off the track after the long straight the first time I braked

Went to PST and bought some Performance Speed Friction 01 pads that they were VERY proud of. Best decision I made all day. Those things stop like crazy and didnt fade a bit.

Probably squeal more. Don't you like it when the women squeal Mike?

Like I said at the track... "I had not heard squealing like that since my wife and I were young!", that's just another reason God gives old men good memories. Speaking of squealing, I could hear David squealing with "glee" (that's gay) when he came out of turn 15 at TWS and nailed "Mistress" on the front straight. We'll see how he does at H2
