EG just installed my new rpm stage 2 rearend. I also broke a half shaft, which they had one shipped in from Katy. I had the same experience that I had with them on my dyno tune. Very positive experience. Great guys, tons of cars in their shop right now! (Stephen, when I was running out today, I realized that I left my phone in Jimmy's car, so I was trying to catch him, it probably looked like I just really wanted to drive my car!)
My opinions of the 3.90's.....After driving the car in traffic, and on the freeways, tonight, I put about 60 miles on the car. I did not get on it too hard, but I did do a 2nd gear light pull with about 3/4 throttle. You can tell that the car does pull a little quicker. Also, I was expecting much more of a difference in RPM's. The 3.90 is in no way too much gear for an m12. I am used to coming from t45 5 speed mustangs. When you changed the gear, you really, really noticed it. On the highway, it seems that I was only running 200-300rpms's more at 70, and the Display was still showing 26.4mph at 70mph with 305 MT drag radials and 20psi in the rear tires. The highway difference is much less than I expected. I am taking the car on a 600 mile road trip tomorrow morning. I will post my actual MPG with the gears.
Can't wait for the break in period, then back to the track!
