TechDad;
I’m not sure if we are talking about the same thing but, last year a bunch of corvettes (15-20) met at Corvettes of Dallas and drove to the Dallas West End and met up with a larger number of corvettes (40-50) and an even larger number of HD Motorcycles. At about 12 or 1pm the bikes took off for Arlington using I30 and the corvettes follow behind blocking the rear traffic from getting into the middle of the bikes. It was really cold that day and I heard that there were normally more bikes and corvettes that made the run. I heard on the news later that same day that there were about 20,000 bikes that arrived in Arlington.
That’s the “HD Toys 4 Tots” that I was talking about…. I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything about it. I would like to make the run again this year. If you haven’t done it You have missed a great ride and a good time If you have you know what I talking about…

www.lets-ride.com Navigate to Texas events. I think I found the one you are talking about. It's called "The Big Texas Toy Run". It happens 12/20. No mention of Corvettes joining in though.

FYI--- from what I have heard

December 20th-- Corvettes can meet as early as 10:15am at Corvettes of Dallas in Carrollton, then caravan to downtown Dallas.

There will be two caravans for the toy drop---one leaving Ft. Worth and one leaving Dallas. Only the Dallas one will have the Corvettes.

I think the Lone Star Corvette club will be handling the Corvettes. Last year they met in the West End prior to rolling

That sounds like a lot of fun! If we aren't invited why not do our own?I I live a stones throw from COD, that would be a great meeting place.

Default From the Lone Star Corvette Club Newsletter

Great Cause and Great Fun. We are happy to host meeting at Corvettes of Dallas at 9:30 AM on Sunday, December 20 before the OFFICIAL Toy Run.
See the details below from the Lone Star Corvette Club Newsletter.

It’s that time again. Time for the 24th Annual
Big Texas Toy Run. For close to 10 years LSCC
has been helping thousands of motorcycles deliver
toys from Dallas to the Arlington Convention
Center. This year we do it again, but with
some changes. This year we leave from the
American Airlines Center, parking lot E. Also a
change, this year admission is 1 unwrapped toy
plus $10. Remember all the toys and money collected
stay in the north Texas metroplex area.
The date as always is the Sunday before Christmas,
December 20. Meet at parking lot E between
9am and noon. We may be leaving before
the bikes leave or not. Depending on their route
to I30. As always we can all go out to eat together
at Joes Crab Shack after we drop off the
toys. If you have never done this event it is a
once in a lifetime event. Motorcycles as far as
the eye can see on I30 with lots of corvettes
( last year we had over 50 in attendance ) bringing
up the rear. Contact me for info and remember
this event goes on rain or shine.

What a great gesture.
Absolutely --- in fact -- drop them off any time before Sunday and we will make sure they are carried to the event.
