The following message was received by the Houston C3 Club, but I imagine if you want to participate and show up in time (0600) there'd be a place or two available:
I would like to thank everyone for their interest and the support that we have received has been tremendous. As a result of the level of support the caravan will have limited space for the Corvettes that was recently announced late this evening.
Due to the safety of the motorcycles and the limited amount of space for the caravan that's been alloted by the City of Houston, The Houston Police Department has requested that only 46 Corvettes particpate.
As a result each club participation will be limited and here's the breakdown by club:
COCH 9 Corvettes allowed total
SJCC 9 Corvettes allowed total
SHCC 9 Corvettes allowed total
NAACC 6 Corvettes allowed total
NW Vettes 4 Corvettes allowed total
Space City 3 Corvettes allowed total
Houston C3 Club 3 Corvettes allowed total
Texas Style Vette 3 Corvettes allowed total
Please submit the names of the particpates for your respective club along with their email address so that I can send a final email confirming their particpation. Names must be submitted to me no later than 5 pm, Tuesday, December 8th.
If your respective club does not fill the allocated slots then please let me know as I will have a waiting list to fill all slots for this event.
The timeline for this event has changed. All participating Corvettes must be at the meeting place no later than 6:00 AM so that they can start stagging all the vehicles (18 wheelers, motorcycles, vettes etc ) The Caravan will start staging at 5:30am
The estimated planned departure time is between 7-7:15 AM and then arriving at the Houston National Cemetery before 9 AM. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11 AM and will be followed by the laying of the wreaths.
Just as a reminder here is the address for the Walmart where everyone participating needs to be by 6:00 AM.
Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 1107 Shaver St, Pasadena Texas.
If you have any questions please feel free to either e-mail me at: usarmycor@yahoo.com or call me at 504-388-9790.
Again, thank you for your club support of this event.
