Dyno results from this weekend end up much lower than what i was thinking it should have been.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1590962199

Do you guys think i'm just expecting to much or could there potentially be an issue?

I have a buddy in Kentucky with the same dyno, I shot him a text with your car specs.

Will let you know what he says....oh, and he probably tunes five C6Z's a week.

He calls his dyno "Heartbreaker"

Lol....

There you are sir.....my buddy responded to your thread in the C6 section. I sent him the link...

He tunes the fastest C6Z manual car in the country.

Very cool! Thank you very much for doing that!

I think i was just kind of disappointed mainly due to not having any knowledge about comparable numbers.

Ego crusher lol. Not as big of a ego crusher when you tell someone you have 500hp then smoke them though. Then they feel really bad lol.

Hey Caliber......

He said the record holding C6Z made 521 on his dyno dynamics. Then went out and went a 9.8x @ 141 on motor only.

He also said , they could possibly be using roller speed to back calculate the rpm which will skew powerband and torque readings.

Hope that makes you feel better about your combo...

Are any of you members of a local vette club? Sounds like Tulsa Vet Set is the dominant one in the area. Thought i might go to a meeting and see how it goes. I've done the club thing in the past and do enjoy shows, but by no means is this thing going to be a garage queen. Nice to meet and talk to other folks about cars though.

Thoughts on TVS or other local tulsa groups?

I ended up going to the TVS meeting last night and got to meet a lot of pretty nice folks, including Randy Pravett.

Glad i went, sounds like they do a LOT of events (not just shows) which really appeals to me.

Why are you asking about boost by gear? What happened to the PG setup.

Powerglide is coming along great, but I'm a true manual guy. So before I pull this faceplated combo out, I'd like to see what it could do with some real power pushing it. The 6 speed vette record isn't buried to deep...

What's the vette record? Have you seen that blue 4th gen Camaro with a 76mm?

Pretty sure the quickest 6 speed vette is around 8.8x

And yeah, I've seen that camaro. It's badass, but hard to complete again a Strange Dana 60 diff with a torque arm !!

IRS with no suspension adjustments makes it a hard hill to climb (unless you count caster/ camber and shock adjustments).

We don't have the luxury of manipulating instant centers and such.
