6th Annual Space City Corvette Club Dinner Cruise to the Top Water Grill !!!!
Hi Gang,
Another Space City Corvettes fun run and dinner will be coming up in July!
Date: Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Rally Time: We will meet at 4:30 pm for a quick drivers meeting with a 5:00 p.m. departure at the Pearland Bass Pro Shop parking lot next to 288 South. It is located on the Southwest corner of 288 and the Beltway.
Route: 288 South to Lake Jackson. We are going to change our pit stop location to the Buc-ees in Lake Jackson on 332 & Plantation Drive. Last year we over whelmed the Surfside Buc-ees on 332 & 523 due to the number of cars we had on the run. The DPS came by and told us that they could write us up for parking on the shoulder of 332 & 523. We explained the situation and they asked us to move out asap. So it was a quick pit stop and we were on our way.
The Lake Jackson Buc-ees has plenty of room and it is newer and cleaer so we will be stopping there this year.
Come out an join us for some great seafood and Corvette comraderie! From there we will depart at 6:00 p.m. and travel through Surfside to the Blue Water Highway and head North to Galveston by way of the San Louis Toll Bridge ($2.00 per car). Once we cross over the San Louis Pass we will head to Galveston's Seawall for I-45 North. If traffic is extremely heavy we will exit at 61st street to cut over to I-45 North, if traffic is not a problem we will cruise the seawall to Broadway (I-45) and then head back north towards Texas City. We will take the Hwy 146 exit and head to FM517 just north of Dickinson Bayou where we will exit on to FM517 east and proceed to San Leon and the Top Water Grill.
The estimated cruise time will be around 2 1/2 hours including our pit stop. We will arrive at the Top Water Grill at around 7:30 p.m. to a designated Corvette Parking Area for our Group.
This event is open to all Corvette owners who would like to attend. We had 70 cars last year make this run! Lets shoot for 100 plus cars this year!
All participants must register here and sign a waiver of liability release. We will have these at the drivers' meeting and they must be signed by all participants in order to make this run.

Always a fun event open to all Corvette owners and Corvette Clubs to attend.
The seafood is excellent and the service is top notch for our group at the Top Water Grill.
Post up if you can make this fun run as we have some great door prizes to give away at the Top Water Grill on the 21st.

Put us down for the run, it was great last year. Should have about 5 or 6 Vette's making the trip up to Bass Pro for the full run, and several more waiting at Bucce's for the remainder of the run.
