Hi guys,

Hey Shane, I moved here from Georgia myself (12 yrs. ago) there are about 6 or 7 Corvette clubs in the Houston area. I have run some cruises with the Corvette Owners Club of Houston, nice bunch of ppl there. Go to the sticky thread "Houston area events 2013" and you will see a list of them. Friend me and I will try to keep you posted on some of the events that are worthwhile.

You JUST missed Cars and Coffee, the first Saturday of each month. It is at Vintage Park in Tomball. Look up the intersection of 249 and Louetta. 1500-1600 cars each month from 6:00 am until about 10:00 am. Cars start leaving from Vintage Park around 8:30.

Here's a post of pictures from today's event.

Good place.

There's plenty of car events on the south side - even more throughout the city

Vettes & Jets in Corpus next weekend if you're all moved in and ready for a road trip

Exactly. That's like saying, "Hey, I'm moving to France, you guys want to hang out on the weekends?"

Have fun in Houston.

Thanks guys!! Im about finished with unpacking and should be settled in this weekend. I still don't have any cable or internet but hopefully by next week.

I need to find a good detail shop close by. My car is really dirty and needs a bath bad. Anybody have any suggestions? I would like to get it waxed and the whole works.

I also will need some suggestions for tuning. I would like to get my car retuned to fix my idle and just a piece of mind that everything is on point. Thanks

Most folks around here do it themselves.

I wouldn't want anyone (besides me, and I'm more careful than most) putting swirls and scratches all over my black car.

I hear ya. In my apartment complex they don't have any area for doing it yourself. I would like a professional to do it this time.
