Welcome! We have a great group (Collin County Corvette Club) Texas is mod friendly too.. You will be here in time for the brand new LG Motorsport Headquarters opening, here in Plano, Tx.. I see you have the LG Headers and x-pipe.. You picked a great place to take on a new job, as well as several (4-5, in our local area) highly specialized shops that cater to Corvettes.. Cost of living is much better here in Texas.. Gas prices are a lot cheaper too.. 93 octane unleaded is going for 3.29 a gallon on average

Welcome Plano Texas, I have lived here since 1965 (apparently I like it). Hope you like heat in the July-September.

My family is from Houston and I spent most of my summers as a kid in Houston. The heat I love its the cold I hate. When I was in Dallas for the Superbowl I was shocked at how much snow was falling!!!! 93 octane? Whats that???

It does get hot, but it really is nowhere near as bad as someplace like Houston (which is very similar to Jacksonville, FL where I grew up).

I live in LA proper so it gets in the 90's regularly here during the summer. The worst part about LA is the entire city is circa 1920 so most places have no AirCon. Nothing like staring at a ceiling fan at 2:00AM while the sweat pours down your face!

DFW isn't a a bad place to live. I moved here in 1998 after college. I lived in Plano for years. Great place to live

I love the weather here and don't think I could live any farther north.

Welcome Matt,

February 1 is the first Saturday in that month, which means Cars-n-Coffee at Plano's BMW dealership (in Plano on the northeast corner of the intersection of Dallas North Toll Road and Spring Creek). Get here on January 31st so you can join us on the 1st. Starts 15 minutes before sun-up (say 6:30 AM) and is generally over by 10:30 AM.

On a bad day CnC draws 500-600 cars (700+ in good weather) including 50 - 75 Corvettes of all vintages. You will fit right in.

Give us a heads-up if you can make it.

We'll have to have a C2C2 get together to welcome you. Maybe Redneck Heaven?

RNH is a bit rough around the edges. As a former Houstonian, Mattie's more likely a Rick's Cabaret kinda guy.
