No worries BM... I would have allowed you to try them if needed... totally respect, understand your decision to go w smaller tire.
What pisses me off, is that I'm having to buy tires over 25% tread. I don't know whether they'll pass tech and I've invested too much to get turned away at the gate. :/ Hate that I can't give you my business.

Yes, got the itch to do something, hanging around with this crew is definitely bad for leaving the car stock. No clearance issues with stock heads. As Mike said, he only had to flycut because of milling to up compression. I'll probably end up talking to Matt some more before making a decision. I want to dig deeper into low rpm difference between the two (surging at low rpm, bucking from stop, etc). I also want to understand the difference as far as maintenance between the two (how often valve springs should be changed, etc).

I would skip LTs for now since I already have the Z06 mani/H-pipe, but I may go ahead and do a ported intake manifold and 102TB, and would definitely add a new air intake (looking at a Ram Air SS intake). Since I'm already at 407RWHP, I'm hopeful that this would take me to at least 470 to the wheels on a CMC-30. If I need more than that, I could always go back and do LTs and TFS 255 heads. Of course, by then I may have decided to get rid of it and get a C7 Z06. That's the other thing to keep in mind between the CMC-30 and -50, resale/trade-in. As much as I love the GS, knowing myself I'll probably end up "upgrading" to something else in 2-3 years. I think the CMC-30 would be much easier from a resale/trade-in perspective since it does have better low end street manners.

Theres some MAST Black Label LS3 heads for sale on DR.net
New MAST LS3 6 bolt, Med bore, bee-hive springs, fully assembled black label heads - ($3699 new) $2700
Nice heads

PM Jason or Elliot about your tires. I don't think they'll be a problem. They just want to make sure the tires aren't too old, aren't worn to the wear indicators, and are rated to handle the speed you're going to trap. I asked about this the first week after the roster was announced.

Guys:

Sorry about the sudden change in plans with the car show.
(The ROTC show my son's babysitter is involved in.)

I found out this morning that my babysitters house burned to the ground last night.
The family was out last night and returned home around midnight to find most of their house gone and the firetrucks there.
The lost all their pets inside the home.
They lost everything except the clothes on their backs.
Were asking them right now if there is anything we can help with.
