Well its been quite a while since I have seen many of you. Hope everyone is well. I am changing careers and am buying an Allstate insurance agency in June. Unfortunately this change will be eating into my play budget and I want to sell my C5Z. I recently had all of the performance parts and ls7 pulled out by 21st century and would like to offer the parts locally to you guys before posting in the main forum. I still need to clean them up for pictures and such but they are all in pretty good shape as I only had them on the car for 10k miles.

Is anyone opposed to me listing my parts here first instead of the main for sale forum? I'd much rather sell locally if possible.

Built and balanced 427 LS7 by Kim Barr in Garland, TX 12k miles 545 RWHP 525T

This engine is a beast, quick to rev with plenty of power for my C5-Z. It's never seen the track and was well cared for. The only thing it needs is the pan gasket replaced as the original installer didn't get it sealed up. Not much was spared as you can see from the parts and work listed below. I probably have 7-8K in specialized parts and labor on top of the engine cost. The project got away from me! Sorry for the long post.

Engine
Mahle Forged Pistons ($700)
OEM titanium rods
ARP2000 Rod Bolts ($200)
Katech Torquer LS7 110 Cam ($500)
ARP Polished Stainless 12 point bolt set ($400)
Edlebrock two piece cam cover ($200)
Katech C5R Timing chain ($150)
SLP Harmonic Balancer Underdrive Pulley ($200)
24x reluctor wheel
LS2 Oil Pan

Heads
OEM Casting, Hand ported & drum roll finished by Reher Morrison Arlington, TX
New bronze valve guides
Milled .010
Stainless Exhaust Valves ($400 cant remember the brand but they don't use cheap stuff here)
ARP Head Bolts ($130)
Patriot Gold LS Dual Valve Spring & Titanium Retainers ($350)
Comp Cams Trunion Upgraded Rockers ($150)

The Rest
OEM Intake Manifold
FAST 60lb injectors ($475)
OEM LS2 TB
Polished Holley Valve covers with integrated coil pack mounts ($240)

Default Mechanic advice

Hey fellas,

I have a friend that just moved to Plano from Vegas and is wanting to do some bolt ons for his 03 Z06. I thought I remember some of you speaking highly of someone out that way. Would you mind letting me know his contact info?

Thanks,

Steven

Steven:

Plenty of good shops around Dallas.
He should go to some of these shops and see what/who he feels most comfortable with.

Quality Motorsports - Lewisville
LG Motorsports - Plano
True Street Motorsports - McKinney
21st Century Motorsports - Addison

Everyone in our group has had experiences with the above.

We are lucky as heck in the Dallas Area... There are also a few more shops and a few individuals that do excellent work on the side, in the Dallas area too... Toque's list is right on target for the top 4 shops..
