Guys:
Looks like the storms will pass this morning and be decent this afternoon.
Hopefully it dries up.
I will monitor the weather, but I will be at the GTG tonight rain or shine.....

Just to throw this up again....
My sons babysitter is asking me to go to this Charity Car show this coming Saturday. She is a very nice young lady.
She is part of the Air Force Junior ROTC.
Matt and Kevin already said they were going to come. Anyone else ?
Sounds like I got a lot of cleaning to do If i'm going to look half decent between these two cars !
I plan to leave CnC a little early to go to this... Still waiting to hear back when registration ends.

Maxx detailed his car, looks great:
I detailed Maxx's Torch Red C5Z over the weekend. The car came to me in good shape, but it did have its fair share of swirls, interior dirt and general love marks that are common on cars, even when very well cared for. This car has a cammed LS7 and was a joy to work on as I love C5Zs.
Maxx's car has the Mod Red interior. Mod red looks great when clean, but general use gets it grimy much quicker than some of the other colors. I used a leather brush and a cleaning solution to bring it back to life.
50/50 shots of the driver seat after cleaning
I ended up using various brushes to clean the interior to bring some new life into it.
Interior done and looking fresh:
After cleaning the interior, it was time to address the paint. I used a combination of Adam's Polishes and Menzerna polishes along with Adam's and Uber Pads. The car was sealed using Adam's liquid Sealant.
After polishing, the paint turned to a richer, deeper red. I love red cars, even more so with rich wet looking paint.
Roof after polishing
Paint on the door starting to pop
Hood looking proper
Trim was taped up for protection
The rear reverse lights had "night shades" rattle can on it. Since it had a little texture on it, I wetsanded and then polished them out with some FG400. Orange Peel still remained when done, but it looks good for a rattle can job.
Polished side on the left, and out of the can side on the right
After the paint sealant was applied, the car was brought back outside, finally complete. Brilliant Glaze and Americana to be added at a later date but it's definitely already looking ready for show season.
After the car was completed I got taken for a ride in it, and let's just say a cammed LS7 is quite a different world from what I'm used to! The power level of this car is just unreal and I thoroughly enjoyed working on it.
Completed and ready to roll
