[Texas] Corvettes at the Diamond
The Longhorn Corvette Club of Austin would like to invite you to Corvettes at the Diamond on August 9 – 11, 2002. This event promises to be a fun filled weekend. Proceeds of this year’s event will benefit the Pegasus School and MDA Austin Area Summer Camp. Pegasus is a last chance home for troubled boys located in Lockhart, Texas.
Friday evening there is going to be a welcoming party at Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday morning the show at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. Following the show there will be a Round Rock Express baseball game. The Express is the AA minor league affiliate for the Houston Astros. A ticket for the game will be included with your registration along with an event T-shirt. Additional game tickets and T-shirts are available. On Sunday we again meet at the Dell Diamond and depart at 10:00 a.m. for a spirited tour of the picturesque Texas Hill Country and finish the weekend with lunch at an Austin landmark.

Myself and BlueC5Kitten (g/f) will be there Friday night. Only gonna be in her car though (2002 EB Coupe), I'm not gonna get a chance to detail mine fully because of work and I won't enter in a dirty car. :nono: :nono:

Thanks for the invite ya'll. I don't think I will be able to make this one though. I work till late afternoon on Fridays this month. It will be too late for me to make the Friday activities. I enjoyed meeting and seeing ya'll in Houston this week though. Maybe I will make the next big Austin event.

Registration has been sent....I'll see everyone on Friday at Rudy's. I'll drive the '98 to Rudy's and the '00 to the show. ;) A true Corvette weekend. :D:D

Well, I dont think I will be able to make it...somehow my car just stopped last night when I went for a cruise...so its back in the shop. Dont know now if I will be able to make it or not. Keep your fingers crossed :D

Well it was fun...except for the rain. Lots of cool cars and cool people. The Diamond gave us alot more room than years past, hopefully we can keep it at the Diamond. It was good to see everyone.

Had a great time. It was good to hang out with a new crowd. I left a bit early to do the family thing. After the rain hit, I guess I made the right decision. I'll be rejoining the Longhorn Corvette Club. I really like the relaxed, fun atmosphere. ;)

The class winners were announced at the show, but I do not remember who they were. I have requested that the results be emailed to me and also posted on the website. The results on the website will go deeper than just the winners.
I will post the information as soon as I have it.

I've been in Dallas the past two days so I missed the get together at Rudy's. I'll try and make the next one. ;) I checked the web site this evening and didn't see any results.
