Just Registered, pretty pumped.

Any suggestions for the car to help with the hot weather? I have a GS so i already have a Oil, Diff, and PS cooler. Just wondering if 90+ degrees will hamper the car any.

If you have the external coolers you should be fine. Just watch the temperatures while on track and make cool down laps periodically to keep it in check. Would not hurt to replace all your fluids (including brake) unless they are relatively new. Hope to see you there - what is your car #?

Put #34 on the event site. This is my first track day so researching in the racing section now. Not sure if i want to keep my brakes stock for the time being or replacing with better pads and SS lines. I will for sure be using DOT 4 for the Brakes and change out the other fluids.

I would just use your stock pads if they are 50%+ since its your first outting.

First track day - Hooray!!! Stock pads should be OK, but I would consider a change if less than 75% of the pads remain. At TWS you will use the brakes and the stock pads will not last long in the heat. If you decide to buy aftermarket pads the Hawk HP plus are a good choice for novice level driving on street tires. Let me know if I can help.

Great turn-out at the recent Chin Motorsports event at TWS. Approximately 35 cars from the Sam Houston Corvette Club stopped by to check out the action and participated in the parade laps. Thanks to Doug with Café Photo for the pictures. More on the Café Photo website:http://cafephotoevents.com
