Talimena Fall Tour 1,2 Nov 2014
Talimena Fall Foilage Tour Saturday 1 November, depart Lloyd Noble SE parking lot 0900AM, Hy 9 east (Hy 270 Seminole, Wewoka, Holdenville, McAlester, Talihina, Talimena Drive, Poteau Days Inn 918-647-3510 for Sat evening, return Sunday same way.

Foliage Update 10-1-2014 - The fall foliage season along the Talimena National Scenic Byway has not yet begun. Oklahoma's peak fall foliage season typically begins in late October.

I just got a notice about a show at Pops on Nov 1st. Hope this does not change anyone's mind about going on the cruise.

You are correct, there is an all Vette annual Pops Arcadia show, and a couple more car shows, a Cajun Boil get-to-gether for the Central Oklahoma Vette Club, and other conflicting fun things on Saturday. That's what makes this the greatest country on earth! Regardless, we have been looking forward to the Talimena Cruise since last year and will be at the Lloyd Noble ready to go that morning if we are the only Vette. I wouldn't miss this unless the creek starts to rise!

Cars And Coffee Too!

Another Conflict
There is a free Motley Crue concert at the Gas Monkey in Dallas for owners of Chargers, Vipers, and Challengers on Nov 1st with a invitation only car show at the unveiling of the new Hellcats to include the fastest sedan Charger at over 200 MPH! We are having a hard time passing up this opportunity since we daily drive a Challenger but we will be doing the Talimena in the Vette and looking forward to it!

Foliage Update 10-20-2014 - The fall foliage season along the Talimena National Scenic Byway is just beginning with some light yellows on the still mostly green trees. Talimena State Park has a few trees beginning to change, and the trees at Lake Wister State Park are showing off a few oranges and reds. The Ouachita National Forest is still early in the season with a few yellows and reds popping out against the mostly green foliage. Oklahoma's peak fall foliage season typically begins in late October.

No problem, hope all works out, the cruise will go on and we will do it again in the spring and again next fall. Been a fantastic Vette year with all the fun activities and a great way to finish out the car season. For ZR1 Ray, we will leave Lloyd Noble at nine and head down Hy 9 eastbound and hope to see you along the road wherever you decide to rendezvous. All be safe!
