Help!
Yes I know this is the C6 forum but I am hoping someone here can help me. I live in San Antonio Texas and am trying to find a repair shop that will rebuild the quadrajet carb on my C3. The dealer will do it but wants to charge me 4 hours of labor plus parts. Come on, someone out there knows of a good shop, no one on the C3 forum could help.

This is the type of thread that's perfect for a regional forum. Maybe the moderators will move it to the Southwest forum for you.

I'm digging deep into the memory banks, but if I recall correctly, Quadrajets are not easy to re-biuld. Its often cheaper and easier to by a Carter unless you want to keep it original.

Try the carburetor shop, I have had good luck with them over the years on several different projects. Several vendors also offer date correct rebuilt carbs.

Contact Lars on the C3 forum or at v8fastcars@msn.com
I had a Qjet rebuilt by him. He test tunes them on a real motor after he's finished rebuilding them. You will have to mail it to him in Colorado but worth the time and money.
