Dallas: Bad Exp - Firestone Complete Auto Care
This place is horrible and I would recommend everyone avoid it like the plague.
I recently had an inspection done on my C6 at the Firestone Complete Auto Care, North Macarthur Boulevard, Irving, TX. The technician in charge of the inspection was incredibly unprofessional. Not only did this idiot speed around the parking lot, but he sped up an incline and scraped my front bumper protector / lip spoiler. (I heard it scrape from the waiting room where I watched this happen. Luckily, there was no damage to the bumper, and the chin spoiler did its job). After he pulled into the inspection area, I heard him rev my motor a few times before getting out, sitting on my hood, and talking to some other tech for 5 mins. At this point, I was livid. I asked to speak to the store manager, but was told he was gone for the day. At the first opportunity, I grabbed my keys, left the payment on the counter, and stormed out. At this point, I would ward anyone away from ever using any Firestone, EVER.

If you heard and saw those things happening, why wouldn't you intercede and STOP it from happening?
Just sayin' . . . I never take my eyes off my car when it's at the MVD inspection or in the shop.

I contacted Firestone customer support and lodged a complaint against the technician immediately after the encounter. The district manager has contacted me today, but we are currently playing phone-tag.

Not sure why you just didn't go to Clay Cooley Chevy at Carl Road and Airport Freeway ? The fee is the same regardless of where it's done.

I would have been livid! That guy would have got a ear full from me and the whole damn shop would have heard me too.

They aren't terribly far from my house. I never use them because they told me that my car was too low to get into their bays. They were short and dismissive with me as well, so I said screw them.
Can't imagine why they even took yours in unless you're stock ride height. Oh and also avoid the NTB off of 635, those guys are monkeys too.
I use the Kwik Kar at 9451 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75063 for my inspections. They drive the car all of ten feet to check the brakes. Honk the horn, and then just plug her in. I don't have cats, but they don't even try looking under the car. They are gear heads, and they compliment nice cars and treat them like babies. They have a pit for oil changes, so I do my oil changes there as well.

I had an issue with my previous C6 at the Firestone here in NM. I took it in for brakes and got it back with an extra 30 miles on it. I was ticked. Went all the way up to the district manager and would never go to another Firestone for anything. They will apologize, but that will be the extent to them helping you with anything. Good luck!
