Phonex Area track days?
My wife and I live in the Northwest and are thinking of retiring to the Phoenix area, I've been to the Bondurant school, looks like a great training facility, the head instructor took me out on the track in a Cadillac CSV for a couple of hot laps but I digress, anyone track their cars and if so, where and what events do you attend?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike - Can't help with the info on track events in the Valley but there is a group in that area you could check with, they're called ACES, Arizona Corvette Enthusiasts. http://www.arizonacorvetteenthusiast...ex.php?act=idx
We retired last year to Prescott about 90 miles north of the Valley and our local Corvette Club, Prescott Vette Sette has an annual car show in late September and the ACE group always shows up in large numbers, they are quite active. Check out their website for info on track events.

Thank Mike.
Looks like there is a track near the air force base in Phoenix and I think there is one about 20 miles east of Tuscon. The track by the air force base is interesting, it has noise restriction rules. I thing the f-16's ND 22's may be a tad noisier but track time is always good to get.

Sounds like you'll be fairly close to a track no matter where you settle in the Phoenix area, if that's where you chose to retire. Before we moved to Prescott last year, we lived in Northern California about 40 minutes from Sears Point Raceway (Infineon). Sure do miss having a facility nearby.

A friend of mine races Spec Miata so having a track in the area is a must!
I visited Infineon and Laguna Seca last year with the idea of getting some training. One of the tracks in Washington State - The Ridge motorsports park has similar attributes to Laguna Seca, the corckscrew being one of them. Very expensive to live up here on retirement income if you want to do track days.
